Graeme Richardson
Graeme, known to all and sundry as “Rico”, is the frontman and energetic driving force behind the NE Street Band.
Rico founded the band back in 2019, and in addition to guiding them to ever greater heights, also tours the music of the Boss in his solo shows Acoustic Springsteen and Springsteen on Broadway.
Bass / BACKING VOCALS
John Paul Hardy
John Paul, or JP as he more usually known, joined the NE Street Band in April 2021 when it restarted following the COVID-enforced lay-off.
A long-time fan of the Boss, JP brought not just a strong bass-playing game to the line-up, but also prominent backing vocals, having previously carried lead vocals in the North East punk band LadyKillers.
KEYBOARDS
Mike Henderson
Alongside Rico, Mike is the only other founding member of the NE Street Band still in the current line-up.
Mike is a highly accomplished keyboard player with many years of playing experience, which includes a spell in local band The Officers Club. Demonstrating his extraordinary versatility, Mike has recently added his fine accordion-playing to the band’s sound
SAXOPHONE / BACKING VOCALS
Louise Howarth
Louise joined the NE Street Band in January 2022, making her debut at The Big Jug in Durham a few weeks later.
An extremely talented and versatile musician, Louise plays not only tenor and alto sax, but also flute and clarinet. And as if that wasn’t enough, she also has a fantastic voice, which she puts to great use when touring with Rico in his Springsteen on Broadway shows.

Colin Cheesman
The newest member of the NE Street Band, Colin joined the line-up in April 2023 and made his debut at East Stanley Club the following June.
Colin brings a wealth of experience to the band, having most recently been playing with Black ‘n’ Blue.

Tom Willshare
Tom re-joined the NE Street Band in January 2025 for a second spell, having previously taken time out due to work and family commitments.
Single-handedly reducing the average age of the group by about ten years, Tom is the junior member of the NE Street Band and brings a range of skills to the show – including a mean slide guitar!

Robin Moody
Meet the newest recruit to our Springsteen squad, the absolutely amazing Robin Moody, who joins us on fiddle for our Acoustic Sessions gigs
Robin is an outstanding fiddle player & those that have already seen him in action, know what he adds to our sound & brings his passion for Springsteen’s music and his energy to our live shows.
Robin hails from Nenthead & is a regular performer in folk & Cajun type bands around the area. We’re sure you’ll make him welcome!
